Fresh Artisan Bread
WELCOME TO WOLLOMBI MARKET
Next Market SUNDAY 11th JUNE 2017
The dedicated organisers of this not for profit market are honoured to establish a monthly market at the historic Wollombi Village. Our expectation is to offer a place where families and friends can leisurely enjoy browsing for and tasting fresh produce – including cheese, smallgoods, bread, wine and jams. In addition to the fantastic range of food and condiments, this market will also host a selected range of handicraft stalls Whether it has been locally made, grown or baked you simply cannot get it fresher and more authentic than at the Wollombi Village Market on the second Sunday of the month from 9am to 2pm.
Next Wollombi Village Market: SUNDAY 11th JUNE 2017 from 9am to 2pm.
Wollombi is a small village surrounded by farms and boutique wineries in the Hunter Valley Region, within 29 kilometres southwest of Cessnock and 128 km north of Sydney. By the 1870’s, soon after the first white settlement arrived to the area, a colonial village was build and in a few years it had a court house, police force, two churches, a school, several inns, general stores, a butcher, a blacksmith, a wagon builder, a harness maker and local farmers parked their horse drawn wagons by the road to sell fresh produce to local residents. Nowadays, no much has changed in this Historical Village and local farmers and craft makers are still congregating around the village to sell fresh produce, gourmet food, wine and handicraft to the locals and visitors. .
